Tinsukia is an industrial town. It is a situated 480 kilometers north-east of Guwahati and 84 kilometers away from the border with Arunachal Pradesh. It is an administrative headquarters of Tinsukia District of Assam,
On arrive at the Dibrugarh airport and transfer to Mancotta or Chowkidhinghee Heritage Tea Bungalow. The evening is free for you to explore. Stay overnight in Dibrugarh
After breakfast, drive to Digboi, the first oil town of South Asia. You will visit the Oil Museum and the 2nd World War Allied Forces Cemetery where 200 graves are permanently maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Overnight stay at the Chang Bungalow.
After an early breakfast, drive to Tinsukia. Check-in to the Limbuguri Tea Bungalow. Visit Maguri Beel on country boat (without motor). Maguri Beel is a shallow wetland. The slow silent approach of the boat allows to see a number of ducks and geese. Return for lunch. After lunch, river cruise on Brahmaputra for possible chances of an encounter with river dolphin and a spectacular view of the sunset. Stay overnight in Tinsukia.
After breakfast, drive to Jorhat. Check-in to the hotel. Stay overnight in Jorhat.
After breakfast, drive to Nimatighat (18 kms to ferry ghat) and then take a public ferry to reach Majuli (approx 1.5 hours on ferry). On arrival, transfer to the Prashaanti Tourist Lodge (accommodation would be standard to basic and not similar to Dibrugarh and Tinsukia. Visit Sastras (Hindu monasteries). Stay overnight in Majuli
In the afternoon, take a public ferry to reach Nimatighat and then by road to Jorhat. Check-in to the hotel and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to the Jorhat airport.
