Overview

Punjab, the land of five rivers and astounding cultural history is located in the northwest of India. Popularly referred to as the “Granary of India,” it is the second-largest producer of major agricultural products in the country. Punjab is renowned for its sports and hosiery goods industry. It is one of the most prosperous states of India in terms of infrastructure and per capita income. The charming cities and towns of Punjab are dotted with numerous ancient monuments, Gurudwara, temples, ashrams, serene lakes, sacred shrines, museums, and wildlife sanctuaries, which are home to many rare species of animals and migratory birds.

Punjab tourism department has taken several initiatives to encourage the promotion and growth of tourism in Punjab. The major cities of Punjab, which include Amritsar, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Ropar, Bhatinda, Pathankot, Muktsar, Hoshiarpur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, have been developed as prime tourist circuits by Punjab Tourism.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Amritsar

On your arrival at Amritsar airport, meet our representative & transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 02: Amritsar

Post breakfast; visit the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). After that visit the local Gurudwara of Amritsar, overnight at Amritsar hotel.

Day 3: Gurudwara Darshan

After Breakfast, morning Tour of Gurudwara Tarn Taran Sahib, Goindwal Sahib, Khadur Sahib, Bir Baba Budha Ji, Sanh Sahib, Cheharta Sahib Gurudwara. In Evening back to hotel & Overnight at Amritsar hotel.

Day 4: Anandpur Sahib

Morning after Breakfast drive for Anandpur Sahib. Darshan of Anandpur Sahib and other Gurudwara, later drive for Chandigarh and overnight at Chandigarh hotel.

Day 5: Chandigarh- Fatehgarh Sahib- Patiala

After Breakfast drive for Fatehgarh Sahib, The historic and pious District of Fatehgarh Sahib came into existence with effect from 13th April 1992, Baisakhi Day deriving its name from Sahibzada Fateh Singh is the youngest son of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

It is bound by Ludhiana and Rupnagar(Ropar) in the North, Patiala in the South, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Rupnagar (Ropar) and Patiala in the East and Ludhiana and Sangrur in the West. After that proceed to Darshan of Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib and Gurudwara Jyoti Sarup, later drive for Patiala, overnight at hotel at Patiala.

Day 6: Patiala- Dukhniwaran Sahib

The morning after breakfast Darshan of Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib. Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib is built on the site where Guru Tegh Bahadur, on appeal from villagers, sat under a banyan tree to rid their malaise-affected village of its disease. Translated, dukh nivaran means eradicator of suffering and the Sarovar (tank) here is believed to have healing properties. An extensive covered area has been provided to facilitate devotees who wish to bathe in it. After that visit Patiala Bazar for some Punjabi shopping. See the Phulkari juti and Parandha and Patiala Salwaar. Overnight stay at Patiala.

Day 7: Patiala - Amritsar Departure

After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and drive to Amritsar airport/Railway station to take the flight to your onward destination.
