Bihar is an eastern state of India. It is the 12th largest Indian state and the third-largest state by population. The state has Uttar Pradesh to its west, Nepal to the north, the northern part of West Bengal to the east, with Jharkhand to the south. The state has a holy river the Ganges, which flows from west to east. There are three main regions converge in the state: Magadh, Mithila, and Bhojpur.
